Editorial Policy
This page explains how the guides on tereaiqos-uae.com are researched, written, reviewed and corrected. We publish it because you should be able to tell where our information comes from — and because we sell the products we write about.
Who writes our guides
Every article is written by the IQOS TEREA Dubai Editorial Team, working in-house. We do not use guest contributors, we do not accept paid placements, and we do not republish syndicated or spun content. Each article carries a byline and a publication date, and is updated in place when the underlying rules change.
Where our information comes from
We start with primary sources, in this order:
- UAE law and Cabinet Decisions — Federal Law, Cabinet Decisions and the implementing regulations published in the Official Gazette.
- Regulator publications — ESMA / MOIAT standards and notices, and excise tax guidance from the Federal Tax Authority.
- Manufacturer documentation — specification sheets, labelling and batch data supplied by the brand or its official regional distributor.
- Our own catalogue and order data — what we actually stock, at what price, and what customers reorder.
Where a claim rests on a specific legal instrument, we name it in the text and link to the official source rather than to a news article about it.
How we check a claim before publishing
Before an article goes live we confirm three things:
- The rule is current. UAE tobacco and excise rules have changed repeatedly; we check the date of the instrument and whether it has been amended or replaced.
- The number matches the source. Rates, limits and thresholds are transcribed from the instrument itself, not from a secondary summary.
- The example is real. Worked examples use products we actually stock, at prices that reflect our published catalogue.
Our commercial disclosure
We sell the products we write about. IQOS TEREA Dubai is a retailer, and every guide on this site sits on a store. That is a genuine conflict of interest and we are stating it plainly rather than hiding it.
What follows from it: we do not accept payment for coverage, we do not run affiliate links to competitors, and we do not publish reviews of products we do not stock. Where a guide compares products, the comparison is on specification, price and availability — not on who paid us, because nobody does.
Corrections
If something here is wrong, email [email protected] and tell us what is wrong and, if you can, link the source. We verify, and if we were wrong we correct the article and update its date. Substantive corrections — a changed rate, a changed rule — are noted in the article itself so earlier readers can see what moved.
We do not silently delete articles that are merely outdated. If the law changes, we update them.
Updates
Guides covering law, tax or regulatory thresholds are reviewed whenever the underlying instrument changes, and at minimum once a year. Guides about products are reviewed when the product, its price or its stock status changes.
What we will not publish
- Medical claims. We are not a medical authority and nothing here is a substitute for advice from a clinician.
- Content aimed at anyone under 18, or claims that vaping is safe.
- Undisclosed paid content, or “reviews” written by a supplier.
Not medical advice
The guides on this site are informational. They are not medical advice, they are not a cessation programme, and they are not intended to diagnose, treat or prevent any condition. If you want to stop using nicotine, speak to a healthcare professional. Read the full disclaimer.
