Age Verification Policy — 18+ Sales

Every IQOS TEREA order placed here is 18+, verified twice: once at the account/address level before dispatch and again physically at handover, when the rider checks a valid Emirates ID or passport. UAE law (Federal Law No. 15 of 2009 on Tobacco Control, reinforced by Wadeema’s Law, Federal Law No. 3 of 2016) prohibits selling tobacco products to anyone under 18. Sellers face from AED 15,000 in fines and a minimum of three months’ imprisonment for a first offence — policies like this are how we stay clearly on the right side of it.

What the delivery rider will ask for

• A valid Emirates ID, driving licence with date of birth, or passport.
• Photo, date of birth, and a match against the name on the order.
• Nothing is handed over — sealed device, pod, bottle, anything — until it passes.

Ordering for someone else is fine as long as the person physically receiving is 18+ and ID-verifiable. Sending a minor to the door = no handover, and the order returns to the hub.

Online safeguards before dispatch

• The Dave age-gate on this site requires a confirmation step before browsing continues.
• Address comments that indicate a school, dormitory of minors or a similar restricted site are flagged for manual review.
• Repeated failed attempts or suspicious patterns are blocked rather than reused.

What we do not do

We do not sell sweets or novelty products that mimic tobacco branding (prohibited under the same tobacco-control framework); we do not use youth-appealing marketing, youth-dominated imagery or slang-heavy social feeds; and we do not loosen the age requirement for any adresse — including repeat family customers. If a rider is uncertain about an ID, the handover simply does not happen.

Where the law lives

Returned orders that fail age checks are processed per our refunds and returns policy.
